ADMISSION PROCEDURE


Course Details :

Bachelor of Architecture, B. Arch is a five year graduate program in Architecture, design and structure of building covering the sociological, systematic and environmental aspects. The course seeks the students having skills like drawing, writing, exploration of the given topic, practical and managerial ability in identifying and solving problems and architectural presentation etc. The subjects for the Bachelor of Architecture include Mathematics, CADD, Urban Economics and Sociology History of Architecture and Interior Design etc.

B. Arch Course Curriculum:

The B. Arch program is of 5 years and is alienated into two phases. The first phase covers the three year full time course and 20 weeks internship at any professional organization or building sites. The second phase is characterized with the preparation research paper, design thesis and also conduct seminars. The second phases is for a duration of 2 years and it can be consider as the more practical based approach of the theory part. The student is evaluated in each ten semesters and the degree is awarded at the end of the tenth semester. The academic covers the areas of arts which deals with the designing parts, drawing, fine arts etc. The other subjects for a B. Arch student are from engineering, humanities, and technology and expertise practice of architecture.

B. Arch Specializations:

The specialization areas of the Bachelor of Architecture includes the following,

  • Green Architecture.
  • Landscape Architecture.
  • Museum Architecture.
  • Naval Architecture.
  • Theatre Architecture.

Eligibility Criteria for B. Arch:

  •     H.S.C. or 10+2 or equivalent examination minimum 50 percent aggregate marks. OR
  •     Diploma in Engineering under 10+3 Scheme of the central and state governments and secured a minimum 50 percent aggregate marks. OR
  •     International baccalaureate diploma, after 10 years of schooling with 50 percent aggregate marks and mathematics as a compulsory subject. OR
  •     The educational qualification as stipulated in the revised norms laid down by COA and the Director of Technical Education or Government of Maharashtra, with English and Mathematics as a compulsory subjects.

Compulsory Common Entrance Test:

National Aptitude Test for Architecture – NATA  with valid score.  For details about NATA  Exam Visit  www.nata.in

Reservations:

As per government policy for various categories of students and as per the norms laid down by the Directorate of Technical Education and Government of Maharastra.

College Fees:

For courses affiliated to University of Pune, Shikshan Shulk Samiti – SSS formulated by Government of Maharashtra is the authority for determining fees.
